Inbound Marketing Consultant
Alan Perlman graduated from Washington University in St. Louis, where he majored in International Studies and minored in Business and French.
Alan previously worked at a global mobility consulting firm as a cost-of-living analyst, where he traveled to 60+ countries and met with Fortune 100 executives and foreign dignitaries to better understand expatriate living conditions in countries like Turkmenistan, Nigeria and Papua New Guinea. Among other categories, he assessed the supply and availability of goods and services, rental market characteristics and hardship.
Through his travels, Alan started blogging and building a small community around his travel and entrepreneurial-focused content. He became interested in digital marketing and started reading about topics like search engine optimizaton, Google Analytics and niche marketing.
Prior to joining HubSpot, Alan was a freelance consultant to small companies, helping them increase their organic traffic and overall digital presence.
Alan originally heard about HubSpot when he first moved to Boston at a
Web Innovators Group conference. He now works as an Inbound Marketing Consultant, teaching companies how to become inbound marketing ninjas.
Outside of HubSpot, Alan practices inbound marketing with a number of online properties that he runs. He enjoys Indian food, mountaineering, travel and entrepreneurship.
