If you're on Twitter, you've probably noticed the banner front and center on your Twitter homepage telling you about a new feature called Twitter Lists, which are collections of Twitter uTwitter Birdsers that you can follow all at once, instead of one by one.

Twitter founder Biz Stone explains the purpose of these lists briefly on the Twitter Blog, but do you know how to leverage the new feature from a marketing perspective?

Because Twitter Lists are so brand-spanking new, we decided to hold a rather impromptu webinar last Wednesday to help marketers like you understand and take advantage of the new feature.  If you missed it, you can always download the archived webinar to view at your convenience at http://www.hubspot.com/marketing-webinars/twitter-lists-archive.

The webinar will teach you everything you need to know about Twitter lists, including:

  • What are Twitter Lists and why should marketers care?
  • How to build Twitter Lists
  • How to share and follow Twitter Lists
  • How marketers can use Twitter Lists for their businesses

Want to check out a few examples of Twitter Lists?  @HubSpot has created quite a few that you can follow, three of which have made the Top 140 best Twitter Lists!

Lists are in essence Twitter's take on the Groups that already exist on other social networking websites. As such, a lot of the same issues are going to arise for marketers. For those that do know how to successfully interact with a social audience it's going to provide some benefits. For those that don't know how to interact with a social audience it's just going to be one giant train wreck!
