Since honing its focus on its platform and developer community in 2017, HubSpot has worked diligently to grow and improve its app ecosystem to meet the needs of customers and partners alike. Earlier this year, we celebrated hitting one million installs across our app ecosystem, and we’re excited to announce another important milestone today.

There are now more than 500 apps offered in HubSpot’s App Marketplace, signifying the company's continued investment in its app ecosystem. To help customers continue to gain value from this ecosystem as it continues to grow, the company has also added ratings and reviews and a new certification process to make it easier for customers to choose the right apps for them.

With businesses adopting and using an ever-increasing number of apps, it’s become increasingly important for SaaS companies to open up their platforms. Blissfully’s 2020 Saas Trends report notes that the unique number of apps used by mid-market companies (101-1,000 employees) has grown 30% year over year, with the average business using over 137 different apps in 2019 to fulfill their business needs. This proliferation of apps has made it even more important for customers to have access to high-quality apps to help centralize their data and tools.

“We’re thrilled to celebrate this milestone with the hundreds of app partners who are helping us connect the full spectrum of customer experience around a common system of record and engagement,” said Scott Brinker, HubSpot VP of platform ecosystem. “Whether a customer is looking for a plug-and-play integration with an existing tool in their stack or an innovative, new app built exclusively for the HubSpot platform, there’s a solution in our app marketplace that can serve their needs.”

HubSpot’s growing platform ecosystem has expanded internationally, with software built by app partners from over 30 countries worldwide. Available apps span 40+ categories and cover use cases like ERP, accounting, channel management, data enrichment, project management, sales performance management, webinars and virtual events, and more. We’ve also created curated collections to complement recent HubSpot product launches, like our new ABM features and the CMS Hub

As the number of apps in our ecosystem continues to grow, so too does the number of features we offer as part of our App Marketplace. Features we’ve recently added include:

  • Ratings and reviews, which help customers and partners understand how an app is performing. This feedback ultimately offers social proof to aid customer choice.
  • A new certification process for app developers that includes a technical review by the HubSpot product team to ensure that all apps in our ecosystem meet certain standards of quality and efficiency. A certified flag on an app listing signifies quality and trust for our customers.

For the brand management software company, Frontify – a cloud-based, single source of truth for organizations worldwide to manage all aspects of their brand – their business needs have matured alongside the platform’s growth. Frontify’s CMO, Michael Müller, explains, “The wide-ranging solutions offered in HubSpot’s app marketplace are an integral part of our cross-functional collaboration tool stack, enhancing our daily ops across marketing, data, and sales teams. Leveraging integrations such as Drift, Zapier, and Aircall, among many others, we’re able to confidently connect, learn, and adapt with our customers, delivering the best possible experience.”
