Hi Team, I’d like to share some exciting news: we have signed an agreement to acquire Cacheflow! They provide subscription billing and configure, price, quote (CPQ) software to automate revenue management and shorten the sales cycle. Let me share why we are making this move, and what it means for Commerce Hub.
How does an acquisition in this space accelerate our vision and help customers?
Everything we do at HubSpot is in service of one clear goal: solve for the customer. In 2023, we launched Commerce Hub based on the belief that, for businesses to grow, they not only need customer data, but also need transaction data: what they bought, when they paid, how long they have until renewal. We have made significant progress by offering simple billing and payment with Commerce Hub, processing more than $1 billion in GMV with strong year-over-year growth. We have also spent a lot of time with customers and have validated the two problems we are focused on solving: make “quote-to-cash” easier and help businesses collect revenue faster. By acquiring Cacheflow, we’re doubling down to provide subscription billing management and robust configuration, pricing, and quoting (CPQ) tools right in HubSpot. That means our customers will be able to close deals faster and increase revenue–all the while having their customer and transaction data in one place.
What makes Cacheflow the right fit for HubSpot?
Cacheflow’s purpose, product, and people fit perfectly with HubSpot. Being able to buy and pay for services and software is an important part of the customer experience–one that Cacheflow knows exceptionally well. Their integrated CPQ and subscription revenue management solution helps companies configure complex quotes fast, close deals from interactive links, and up-sell and renew software revenue easily. Sarika and Brian, the company’s founders, have decades of experience in this space and have built a high-performing team dedicated to removing the friction when a prospect decides to purchase. Because many of Cacheflow’s customers are also HubSpot customers, Cacheflow uniquely understands HubSpot and our ecosystem, allowing them to drive impact quickly.
What happens next?
One of HubSpot’s competitive advantages is having a “crafted” product experience–and that’s a promise we intend to keep. Once the deal closes, the Cacheflow team will be integrated into HubSpot as part of the Commerce Hub team.
We’re excited to officially welcome Cacheflow to HubSpot soon, and help our customers convert opportunities into revenue.
