A New Way to Build HubSpot CRM into Your Google Apps Routine

Today, we're excited to announce that HubSpot CRM is now available in the Google Apps for Work Marketplace and has been chosen as one of Google's “New and Notable” applications for the month of June. You can read the full details of the launch here. In this post, we'll walk you through  what the new Google Apps functionality entails and how to set it up.

What is Google Apps for Work?
Google Apps for Work is is a suite of cloud computing, productivity and collaboration software tools offered on a subscription basis by Google. While you may not be familiar with Google Apps for Work as a whole, you've definitely seen some of its pieces in action: Gmail, Google Calendar, Drive, Docs, and others. While these products are available to consumers for free, Google Apps for Work adds additional business functionality like domain-specific email addresses and increased storage, at an additional cost.

How does HubSpot CRM Integrate with Google Apps for Work?
The primary integration points between HubSpot CRM and Google Apps for Work are Gmail and Google Calendar. Here's a quick rundown of how the two systems talk to each other.

  • Seamless Gmail sync. Log emails sent from Gmail into HubSpot CRM with one click, so your team spends less time on busywork and more time actually selling.

  • Bidirectional Google Calendar integration. Automatically sync meetings from your Google Calendar into HubSpot CRM, or book your meetings right from HubSpot CRM and they’ll show up on your Google Calendar in real time.

  • Additional syncing capabilities via HubSpot Sales. Build a library of personalized email templates & sales content that you can access right from your Gmail inbox. Schedule emails ahead of time and track email opens and clicks in real time. Gain additional insights about your prospects with enriched inbox profiles. All within HubSpot Sales. Check it out.

What's new?
You can quickly Install HubSpot CRM into your Google Apps environment using the instructions below. Doing so will unlock two big improvements.

First, you'll now be able to access your CRM from any of your Google tools, via the App launcher in the upper-right of Google's navigation.

Second, you won't need to go through any permissions checkpoints when setting up specific HubSpot-Google connections from within the CRM down the road. That saves you clicks, which gives you back precious moments in your day.

How to Install the HubSpot App
Navigate to the Google Apps for Work Marketplace and search for HubSpot --- or just click here. Click the "+" button in the upper right to begin installation. Follow the subsequent steps to authorize HubSpot and Google to connect, and click through the final steps of the installation.

An important note: On the final modal, you'll see a link to "Complete additional setup now."

If you're already a user of HubSpot CRM, no extra setup is required. If you're not yet taking advantage of HubSpot CRM, click that link, then follow the ensuing steps --- you'll be up and running in just a few clicks.
