What is it
The tracking URL Builder has been visually refreshed and moved into the analytics tools.
Why does it matter?
This update brings the refreshed tracking URL builder into our analytics tools, creating a visually consistent experience across all of HubSpot’s analytics tools. You can also now see the UTM source, medium, term, and content from the tool’s dashboard, giving you an understanding of the tracking URL’s purpose at a glance. As an added win, clicking the linked UTM CAMPAIGN will bring you directly to the specific campaign you are tracking within traffic analytics, connecting the two tools and letting you easily see the metrics for specific tracking URLs.
How does it work?
Clicking into analytics tools, you’ll now see the tracking URL builder located amongst the rest of HubSpot’s reporting tools.
Clicking into the tool, you’ll see the updated tracking url dashboard. The option to copy the link has been moved from directly on the dashboard to within the actions tab, and you can now see the UTM Campaign, UTM Source, UTM Medium, Term, and content directly on the dashboard.
Clicking ‘Create tracking URL’ will open up a side panel editor, similar to other editing experiences within HubSpot. Here, you can enter in all tracking parameters you could select within the old tool.
Finally, if you click on the UTM Campaign for any tracking link, you will be brought to traffic analytics, where you can dive into the traffic that URL is generating.
Who gets it?
All Marketing Hub Basic, Professional, and Enterprise users now have access to opt-in to the new tool.
What language is it in?
All languages supported by HubSpot.
