Changes Coming to Payment Links

At HubSpot, we always strive to do what’s best for our partners, customers, and employees. Part of that is making sure that all our processes are as efficient and accurate as possible.

On Thursday, April 18, 2019, we'll be making the following changes to how payment links work:

  • All outstanding, unexpired, public payment links will be redirected to a private link.
  • All newly created quotes will use only private payment links. These links can only be executed by the billing administrator of the portal.

What does this mean for you?

Starting on April 18, when sending a payment link to a prospect, please make sure the purchaser is a user in the portal and designated as the billing administrator. If the purchaser isn’t a user in the portal, they must be added by the administrator of their portal and given the billing administrator role. Instructions on how to do this can be found here.

We realize this means adding steps to your process, and want you to know we’re actively working on an improved purchasing process.
