With HubSpot’s Revenue Hub, billing starts automatically when a quote is accepted, and every invoice, payment, and change is tracked in one place alongside your customer data.

When a buyer accepts a quote, HubSpot’s Revenue Hub automatically creates a contract record and generates invoices based on the agreed billing schedule. Payments are collected through HubSpot payments or your connected Stripe account. Every payment updates the customer record in real time.

Yes. HubSpot’s Revenue Hub syncs invoices and payments to QuickBooks Online and Xero automatically. Credit memos created in HubSpot also sync to QuickBooks Online — including line items and credit applications — so your accounting team always has accurate books without manual data entry.

Yes. You can update notes and recipient emails on one-time invoices that already have partial or full payments recorded, without disrupting payment history or your financial reporting. PO numbers flow automatically from the quote to the invoice so your team never has to enter them twice. For number-related changes, credit memos are available to issue credits and adjust balances without modifying the original invoice.

Change quotes can be generated directly from the existing contract. The contract record updates automatically to reflect the new terms, and billing adjusts accordingly, so your records stay accurate without manual fixes.

Billing features are currently available at an introductory value of 0 credits until April 1, 2027. Future pricing will be based on a credit model aligned to value outcomes.

Online payment collection follows transaction-based pricing, you only pay when your customers pay you.

HubSpot supports billing globally but does not yet support e-invoicing in countries with specific compliance mandates. E-invoicing requires structured, machine-readable formats instead of PDF invoices.

Current mandates vary by country. In Germany, businesses must be able to receive compliant e-invoices as of January 2025, with issuing requirements phasing in from 2027 by business size. France and Belgium are rolling out similar mandates in 2026, also phasing by business size.

Mandates currently apply to domestic B2B transactions, with B2G already live in most countries.

We are actively building native e-invoicing for Revenue Hub customers in the EU. Invoices will be issued in EN 16931 format and delivered over each country's required channel, beginning with Peppol where it applies. If you are based in France, Belgium, or Germany and would like early access, contact us here.

For compliance questions specific to your situation, please consult your legal advisors.

Existing subscriptions won't change when you turn on contracts. Going forward, new quotes with billing enabled will create recurring contract line items [also linked as read-only subscriptions] and send invoices automatically through contracts.

Note: Pausing subscriptions is not yet available for contracts. This capability is coming soon.

For historical or active external contracts, we are building a bulk CSV migration import tool to help you bring in legacy contract data including line items, start dates, payment methods and company records. APIs will be available for teams that need to push contracts in programmatically.
