HubSpot is looking for a Senior Marketer - Marketing Operations to optimize our marketing technology infrastructure and drive conversion for INBOUND, our flagship industry event. In this role, you will have the opportunity to unlock the full potential of our HubSpot Marketing Hub, build sophisticated automation workflows, and create the technical foundation that enables our marketing team to drive 12,000+ ticket registrations and $6M+ in revenue.

This role sits on the Global Events Marketing team and reports to the Manager of Marketing, working closely with the Senior Content Marketer, Senior Paid Marketer, Campaign Marketer, and Senior Social Media Marketer, and cross-functional partners including the event tech team, and martek team. This role requires deep HubSpot expertise, analytical thinking, technical problem-solving, attention to detail, and collaborative partnership skills.

Example projects include optimizing our contact database to expand addressable audience reach, building intelligent lead scoring and routing workflows to improve registration conversion, implementing sophisticated email nurture sequences that drive ticket sales, creating performance dashboards that provide real-time insights for leadership, and establishing UTM tracking standards for accurate attribution across all marketing channels.

In this role, you'll get to:

  • Optimize HubSpot portal to unlock full contact database potential through comprehensive data management including duplicate detection, bounce handling, engagement scoring, automated list cleaning, and data enrichment processes to maintain deliverability and compliance.
  • Build and execute email campaigns in partnership with the Senior Content Marketer when needed, handling technical implementation, QA, and scheduling to support quality and scalability across campaigns.
  • Implement segmentation in HubSpot based on geographic, persona, and behavioral data, in partnership with the Senior Content Marketer, and deliver performance insights to refine targeting effectiveness.
  • Own ongoing re-engagement programs to maintain database health and maximize long-term audience growth — including building workflows, running A/B tests, monitoring performance, and reporting impact on deliverability and ticket sales.
  • Optimize pre-event promotion campaigns and marketing-to-registration conversion funnels in collaboration with Senior Content Marketer and event tech team to maximize ticket sales.
  • Create intelligent contact scoring and routing workflows to optimize registration conversion and attendee experience.
  • Build A/B testing infrastructure and provide technical optimization for segmentation, timing, and automation performance.
  • Build performance dashboards tracking customer journey across marketing channels, with real-time campaign monitoring, automated alerts, and weekly registration velocity reports for leadership.
  • Implement and maintain UTM tracking standards across all campaigns to ensure accurate attribution and performance measurement.
  • Develop market analysis reports and partnership ROI measurement systems.
  • Maintain GDPR/CCPA compliance across all marketing automation and create proper data governance frameworks.
  • Create automated backup procedures and data validation processes to ensure system reliability.
  • Conduct comprehensive QA testing on all email campaigns, landing pages, and automation workflows before launch.
  • Create comprehensive documentation for all workflows and design scalable processes for future growth and rebranding initiatives.

We're looking for people who:

  • Have 5+ years of marketing operations experience with deep HubSpot expertise (Marketing Hub, workflows, automation, segmentation).
  • Have a proven track record optimizing marketing databases, building automation infrastructure, and improving campaign performance through technical optimization.
  • Are technical problem-solvers who can diagnose system issues and implement solutions.
  • Thrive in a deadline-driven, high-stakes environment where campaigns directly impact revenue.
  • Are organized, detail-oriented, and process-focused with meticulous QA standards.
  • Have the ability to be hands-on, with comfort in driving both technical strategy and day-to-day execution.
  • Are deeply analytical with strong data analysis and performance reporting skills.
  • Have experience developing strong cross-functional relationships both internally and with external partners.
  • Have direct experience with email marketing automation, campaign execution, and conversion optimization.
  • Have a proven ability to work in close partnership with the marketing team, translating strategic vision into technical execution.
  • Are skilled at managing marketing technology integrations, compliance requirements, and data governance.
  • Have experience with A/B testing methodology and conversion rate optimization.
