About the team

We aspire to be the COOs of HubSpot — working cross-functionally with global teams to help run the day-to-day business while driving high-impact, long-term strategic priorities.

Our team blends analytics and strategy to help leaders solve complex challenges and power the full operational rhythm of the business: from goal-setting and planning to performance management and execution.

 

What you’ll do

In this role, you’ll be the go-to strategy and analytics partner for the PreSales organization. You’ll deliver critical insights, champion data-driven decision-making, and collaborate with leadership to shape business strategy, planning, and performance. You’ll also lead high-priority projects that move the business forward.

 

Responsibilities

  • Metrics & Insights: Wrangle large, highly complex datasets using SQL into actionable insights and become the data expert for your business area. Develop metrics and large-scale dashboards to track the health of our user-facing and internal teams. Perform analyses (using SQL & other analytical tools/languages), identify trends, conduct research, build models, all to deliver objective, critical insights that can inform leadership of opportunities, risks, and strategic priorities.
  • Communicate with executives: Create narratives and documents that tell the story of your business area to influence leadership and executive team decision making.
  • Stakeholder management: Influence and drive cross-functional change by partnering with stakeholders across a wide internal network of globally distributed teams, including Sales, Finance, Data Science, Product/Engineering, and more.
  • Drive operational excellence: Design, optimize and drive operational reviews and rhythm of the business. Guide the planning and goal-setting process for your business area, as well as progress checks throughout the year. Bring and consistently apply a ROI lens to all operational decisions, so we can make better-informed trade-offs
  • Support Planning: support with forecasting/planning processes for Global PreSales, including near/medium/long-term planning, to enable leadership to make strategic decisions

 

Who you are

  • 6+ years of work experience in B2B sales strategy and operations and/or business analytics, business strategy/operations, data science, investment banking, management consulting, and/or related domains
  • Outstanding analytical ability, expert in SQL and understanding of data relationships, adept at solving complex business problems.Experience working with large data sets, especially in analyzing large imperfect data sets to creatively solve problems and creating scalable reports and dashboards or ad-hoc analysis. Proven SQL knowledge and experience. Python or R is a plus
  • Outstanding communication, presentation skills & stakeholder management skills
  • Expertise working cross-functionally and with globally distributed teams to drive business and operational goals using data
  • Ability to connect the big picture to minute details, toggling between them to set and operationalize strategy
  • You thrive in ambiguity, love using data to tell stories, and are passionate about helping teams grow better.

Pay & Benefits

The cash compensation below includes base salary, on-target commission for employees in eligible roles, and annual bonus targets under HubSpot’s bonus plan for eligible roles. In addition to cash compensation, some roles are eligible to participate in HubSpot’s equity plan to receive restricted stock units (RSUs). Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay. Individual compensation packages are tailored to your skills, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.

Annual Cash Compensation Range:
$136,000$204,000 USD
