Three main building blocks lay the foundation for becoming a successful partner including partner program fundamentals, how to sell and service HubSpot, and learning the HubSpot product.

This page includes the major milestones when going through onboarding as well as additional resources available to ramp you up as a HubSpot solutions partner.

These milestones are the top six major tasks and accomplishments to complete in your first 90 days, in order. For more information and help in completing these, use the dropdowns below.

Your PDM will be your primary contact at HubSpot, focused on short and long-term business development. They are dedicated to your success, helping you develop strategic plans to expand your HubSpot practice, drive sales efforts, and grow your customer base. Additionally, they will work with you to enhance your knowledge and skills through certifications and accreditations that are relevant to your goals. Your PDM will also keep you informed on the latest HubSpot products, services, and strategies and help resolve outstanding issues. In addition to your PDM, you’ll also have access to the Knowledge Base and HubSpot Support for troubleshooting issues.

Anyone involved in managing the partnership should be involved in the partner kickoff conversations and goal setting, as well as a sales leader.

Start your persona-specific playlist. Choose from the following options: Partner Executive Onboarding, Partner Administrator Onboarding, Partner Marketing Onboarding, Solutions Partner Sales Onboarding, Partner Technical Pre Sales Onboarding, Partner Professional Services Onboarding, Partner Customer Success Onboarding. Your PDM will assign you the right playlist. If you haven't been assigned a playlist yet, reach out to your PDM.

Mutual Action Plan (MAP): With your PDM, you’ll collaborate on your MAP to align on business priorities, your goals for your HubSpot partnership, strategies to achieve these goals, go-to-market plans, and any current open opportunities. You will also work with your PDM on best practices for collaborating with HubSpot sales team.

PDM will be here during your onboarding and throughout your time as a solutions partner. They’ll host 1:1 meetings to train and coach through pipeline management and sales processes, but when actually working a deal, you’ll be co-selling deals in collaboration with Growth Specialists (GS) on HubSpot’s direct sales team.

Growth Specialists are your day-today sales partners who collaborate with you on communications strategies, roles, responsibilities, and a closing plan for each deal. They provide support on demos, generating and sending quotes, and helping you attach Proof-of Involvement (POI) for each deal. Once you register a deal, a GS will automatically be assigned to your deal based on geography and segment.
