Mark Greco is a graduate of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) in Troy, New York and therefore provides the practical complement to our theoretical MIT team. He's been working with Internet technologies and marketing for a very long time and some in our office suspect he was tweeting the day after Al Gore invented the Internet. Mark's broad experience includes working directly for Fortune 50 and 500 companies and several successful startups, in industries as diverse as medical devices, financial services, and software development. Prior to joining HubSpot he was head of sales and online marketing for a small financial services firm and previously a manager at Groove Networks (later purchased by Microsoft), where he worked with HubSpot's co-founder Brian Halligan. He has a strong user assistance and content generation background with over ten years of experience as a writer, and was an editor for several technical books back when they were made of paper.
Here at HubSpot, Mark was one of the first dozen employees and has held a number of important positions. He was one of our first Internet Marketing Consultants and also "was" our Customer Support department in the early days. He worked directly with over 300 HubSpot customers as an IMC before becoming a Customer Success Manager, and later managed the CSM team. Now, as a VAR Channel Manager in the HubSpot Partner Program, he works to find the best agencies and marketing firms to work with our customers and helps those companies grow their businesses and reach their goals. He specializes in SEO and conversion tactics. When he's not helping our customers get the most out of HubSpot, you'll find Mark on the beaches or in the woods of Gloucester, MA, playing competitive tennis, and always being the modest dad of the greatest kid in the world.
