HubSpot has done it again! The Boston Business Journal named HubSpot the winner of its Best Places to Work awards for the second year in a row.

Boston Business Journal delivered the award after reviewing hundreds of surveys submitted by employees of nominated companies. In the end, HubSpot once again came to the top of the medium size category. There were more than 320 companies that qualified for consideration.

Taking a line from the BBJ’s announcement of the win, the awards program “recognizes Massachusetts companies' achievements in creating a positive work environment that attracts and retains employees through a combination of employee satisfaction, working conditions, and company culture.”

Some of the things that caught the eyes of the BBJ are HubSpot’s no vacation policy, the game room and beer fridge, the Fellows Program and company-wide activities and events organized by fellow HubSpotters.

Again quoting the BBJ: “Our Best Places to Work event recognizes the importance of cultivating a great workplace culture as a competitive advantage," said Chris McIntosh, publisher of the Boston Business Journal. "Companies on our list can be justifiably proud of creating a high level of workplace satisfaction during an economy where traditional rewards like big raises and bonuses aren't as easy to give. In good times and in bad, our results validate how the creation of the right corporate culture can create powerful business advantages. Employees are proud to work for companies that are about more than just business.”

In accepting the award, the BBJ set up acceptance speech parameters. The speech could be three words. However, if the person accepting wanted to make it longer, they'd be required to donate $25 per word to Habitat for Humanity.

Needless to say, Dharmesh was liberal with his speech.

And finally, HubSpot was honored with the “loudest table” award. Perhaps it was the addition of Eric Vreeland running around in his Orangeman suit? Or the loud thundersticks, HubSpot chants and cheers?

Congratulations, HubSpotters, all of this is yours!
