8 Hours of Internet Marketing with HubSpot. Overload or Ecstasy?

On Wednesday - for the first time - we co-hosted an 8 Hour Internet Marketing Workshop with the Worcester Chamber of Commerce, Yes! MediaWorksand 5 Local HubSpot Partners: WakeFly, Pagetender, Garfield Group, Precision Marketing & Backbone Media.

HubSpotter's Kyle James, Jennifer Snyder, Brian Thorne and Peter Caputa(that's me) were joined by 50+ attendees including a bunch of HubSpot customers too, who were there for a refresher course and some added inbound marketing motivation.

We covered the A to Z of inbound marketing including SEO, Social Media, Blogging for Business, Video Blogging, Lead Generation, Landing Pages, Permission-Based Email Marketing and of course, Analytics.

We also answered a lot of questions and even got to dive into a free trial of HubSpot's software to show people that this stuff doesn't need to be as hard as it usually is.

Many landing pages were built, Twitter profiles were created and hash tags exercised, long tail keywords were discovered, and even.... a video blog was produced and published.

Armed with the knowledge of what kind of time and financial investment it takes to be a successful inbound marketer, most attendees are already speaking with a HubSpot Inbound Marketing Specialist about how to turn their website into a lead generation machine.

As promised to the attendees, the slides are below.

An audio recording with notes is also available, compliments of one of our attendees, Paul Nelson.

What city should we visit next?

Although I'd love to do the next workshop in Brazil, we might have trouble justifying that one since we don't serve customers in Brazil yet.

Check out InboundMarketing.com

There should be something up there soon that'll help you regarding a certification.

In my business understanding inbound marketing strategies is crucial. I learned a heck of a lot about the process and really appreciate the effort of the presenters.

As for where the seminar needs to be next, how about Shrewsbury???

My review of the seminar a 4.5 out of 5! It’s a lot of info to compress into a single day - both the presentors and the listeners. All of the instructors did a great job of presenting their information in a clear and understandable way.

One idea could be to develop a “free-B” that can be given before the next session which is a simple overview, along with some areas (links) of info people can review before attending. A glossary of terms beforehand could be usefull for some. Excellent job. For being the first shot out of the barrel, I'd say you all came quite close to the center of the target.

Come to TX, almost anywhere but Austin or San Antonio would be nice. Our team just got back from the inbound marketing summit in Dallas. Loved it but we want more, especially from Hubspot:-)
