While the HubSpot User Group (HUG) conference offered a great opportunity for learning and networking, it was also the perfect time for HubSpot to recognize some of its awesome customers and partners who have achieved inbound marketing success.
We're very pleased to announce the following five customers as recipients of our three awards:
HubSpot Certified Partner of the Year: ymarketing
YMarketing, a digital search marketing agency based in Costa Mesa, CA, is the recipient of our first-ever Certified Partner of the Year Award. The HubSpot Certified Partner of the Year Award competition ranks HubSpot Value Added Resellers (VARs) on customer acquisition and Customer Happiness Index (CHI) (*see explanation of CHI near the end of this post). The fact that ymarketing is being honored with this award indicates that the company has excelled at helping its clients generate a significant ROI from their online marketing.
ymarketing's Donald Nosek accepts Certified Partner of the Year Award
In both measures of customer acquisition and Customer Happiness Index (CHI), ymarketing showed better results than any other HubSpot VAR. YMarketing's clients consistently increased the traffic, leads, and sales generated from their investment in ymarketing's digital search marketing services.
HubSpot All-Star customers are determined based on the top 100 CHI scores. In fact, both Signiant and Vico Software beat HubSpot's own CHI score in July of 2010!
Signiant: A customer since 2007, Signiant provides content supply chain management software to companies that are heavily using the digital space.
Vico Software: A customer since 2007, Vico provides software and services to the building construction industry.
HubSpot Inbound Evangelists: Sam Chapple & Marcus Sheridan
Sam Chapple: A many-time HubSpot customer, Sam is a master inbound marketer and has been prolific in HubSpot's forums and on the public web in helping folks become better at inbound marketing.
Marcus Sheridan: A passionate HubSpot customer, Marcus has preached the inbound marketing mantra to an entire industry, helping raise the bar for pool & spa companies throughout the United States and recently deciding to become a HubSpot partner in addition to his main business so he can extend inbound even further!

CHI, which means Customer Happiness Index, is a HubSpot proprietary algorithm, is a measure of three key metrics:
- The amount of features that are set up by the agency.
- The amount of features that are used on a regular basis.
- The resulting increase in traffic and leads that result from the features implemented.
