Seth Godin to Appear on HubSpot’s “Sell Like a Human” Video Show Hosted by Daniel Pink

At HubSpot, we’re on a mission to make sales and marketing more human. As part of that mission, we launched our Sell Like a Human video series with sales mastermind Daniel Pink last month. The show gives sales reps the info they need to better understand the modern buyer and adapt their sales techniques to how those people want to buy. We’ll be bringing on the world’s top sales and marketing authorities to really dig into the strategies and approaches of inbound sales.

We’re thrilled to announce that best-selling author and successful entrepreneur Seth Godin will be the second guest on Sell Like a Human. With his unique blend of sales and marketing experience, Godin lends a counterintuitive viewpoint to the discussion of the modern sales model.

During the episode, Pink and Godin will discuss the topic of prospecting for modern humans, including:

  • Whether we should even use the word “prospecting”
  • How sales reps should choose where to work, and how to make the most of their current position
  • What Godin learned from selling digital media early in his career

“Since meeting Seth nearly two decades ago, I’ve continued to be in awe of his creativity and passion for changing the way we buy, market, and sell,” said Pink. “I’m excited to have Seth on the show to pick his brain and help reps rethink the way they approach sales.”

Seth Godin is the author of 18 books that have been bestsellers around the world and have been translated into more than 35 languages. He writes about the post-industrial revolution, the way ideas spread, marketing, quitting, leadership and most of all, changing everything. In addition to his writing and speaking, Godin founded both Yoyodyne and Squidoo. His blog (which you can find by typing "seth" into Google) is one of the most popular in the world. He was recently inducted into the Direct Marketing Hall of Fame, one of three chosen for this honor in 2013.

Episode two will be available on the Sell Like a Human site on February 20.
