The awards table at the entrance of HubSpot is going to need to get even bigger.
This week Brian Halligan was honored by Ernst & Young as being an Entrepreneur of the Year 2011 New England. This award was given at a dinner Wednesday night, just hours before he announced the acquisition of Performable.
Ernst & Young says this award is given to people who have grown a company from a concept and become an industry leader. These leaders don’t believe people who say things can’t be done. They see opportunities in every problem. And they won’t take no for an answer.
Sounds like they created this award for Brian!
The award is determined by an independent judging panel of previous winners, CEOs, private capital investors and other regional business leaders.
From here Brian is entered in the national awards hosted by Jay Leno in November in Palm Springs. And then – THE WORLD. No really, there’s an Ernst & Young World Entrepreneur Of The Year Award.
Haven’t we said HubSpot would take over the world?
This award comes on the heels of the Brian being honored as a runner-up in the media and advertising category in The Boston Globe’s "Globe 100" list.
It’s been a great month for HubSpot and its employees. Can’t wait to see what’s next!
