Based on the idea that the best way to meet people is through common friends, Rekindle gathers the most up to date contact information from across all of a person’s contact networks to help make new connections or rekindle old ones. Co-founded by Matthew Grace, who saw an opportunity to use technology in a new and simple way to facilitate introductions, Rekindle uses contact graph technology to connect people with lost connections and friends of friends, as well as introduce connected and relevant business contacts.

Of the acquisition, Grace said: “We are beyond excited to be joining HubSpot, an awesome, fast-growing tech company and pillar of the Boston tech scene. We’re looking forward to the opportunity to bring the technology that we’ve created to one of the leaders in the B2B marketing and sales space and supporting HubSpot’s efforts to drive growth for all of their customers.”

HubSpot’s Vice President of Product Brad Coffey noted: “Over the past year, we’ve invested time and energy in developing products for sales. Rekindle’s use of the contact graph to connect individuals and the power of the technology behind it are completely aligned with HubSpot’s aim to help our customers grow through connecting companies with people in a more human way.”

The acquisition is effective immediately, and members of the Rekindle team will join HubSpot full time and relocate to the company's global headquarters in Cambridge, MA.
