Cambridge, Mass. - HubSpot announced that the Company was honored as a finalist in PROMOmagazine's Interactive Marketing Awards. HubSpot was nominated in the Search Engine Marketing category for their customer, Objective Management Group's (OMG) use of HubSpot's Inbound Marketing System. Winners and finalists were announced at Interactive Promotion Summit in Las Vegas from April 30 - May 2, 2008.
HubSpot earned its finalist position for the work they did with OMG in search engine optimization (SEO). OMG looked to HubSpot to help them with their Internet marketing strategies including setting up a business blog, writing quality content for it and optimizing it with relevant keyword phrases to make it easy for people to find them within the search engines.
"HubSpot's software has changed the way we approach marketing," said Dave Kurlan, CEO, OMG. "Through the support of HubSpot, we have made significant advances in our internet marketing initiatives. In the year or so since we started working with HubSpot, we have augmented our brand awareness across the Internet, increased our search engine visibility and more people are coming to our website visitors resulting in more qualified sales leads."
PROMO's Interactive Marketing Awards recognizes the best and most effective interactive marketing campaigns. The eight categories highlight new marketing techniques that utilize viral, mobile marketing, e-mail and new media marketing. Alongside HubSpot, fellow honorees in the Search Engine Marketing category include State Street, and Coca Cola, who was named the winner.
"A lot of businesses spend significant resources on a website that nobody sees because it is not optimized," said Brian Halligan, CEO and co-founder of HubSpot. "Even worse, some businesses spend no time at all on their online presence. We really believe that marketing has been fundamentally changed by the Internet and companies who don't adapt will lose out on valuable business opportunities. Establishing a blog, like OMG's, is a great way to build credibility and awareness for your company."
