Over the past five years HubSpot’s annual INBOUND event has morphed from a modest user gathering of a couple hundred people to a leading industry event with tens of thousands of attendees from all corners of the globe. As the event has grown over the years, it’s also grown to make a significant economic impact on its host city and HubSpot’s home, Boston -- a $19.1 million impact over the last two years to be exact.

According to the Massachusetts Convention Center Authority’s (MCCA) economic impact analysis, the MCCA estimates that INBOUND 2014 created $8.1 million in economic impact to the Commonwealth. This impact was created by the 10,000 registered attendees and their 5,355 hotel room nights. INBOUND 2015 is estimated to have created $11 million in economic impact as a result of the 14,000 registered attendees and 6,743 hotel room nights.

“It has always been a goal of HubSpot’s to become a pillar Boston company and we could not be prouder of the fact that our annual INBOUND event has not only become such a force in fueling the inbound movement and our growth but also that it has become such an impactful and important event for the city of Boston,” said JD Sherman, HubSpot’s President & COO.

INBOUND’s growth and impact will continue this year as HubSpot gears up to host INBOUND 2016 in just under a month. The event will take place November 8-11 at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center where it has been hosted for the past two years. And, for the first time this year, Seaport residents can attend the keynote and spotlight sessions for free with complimentary Community Passes. That’s right, for free.
