At HubSpot, we want to build a company where people can do their best work. Our culture can best be defined by our Culture Code, which was first published in 2013 and it has over 5M views to date. In 2021, like many organizations, HubSpot’s culture was put to the test. We navigated uncertainty by deeply listening to our employees. Based on their feedback, within the past 12 months HubSpot…
Addressed burnout head-on by introducing the 5 Rs initiative, which includes an annual Global Week of Rest, No Internal Meeting Fridays, and manager trainings designed to get at the root causes of burnout.
Heightened our commitment to flexibility by introducing a new temporary mobility policy so that employees can work remotely in a different country where they have work authorization for up to 90 days.
Made strides in our Sustainability efforts by offsetting our emissions since 2006 to make HubSpot carbon neutral, raising over $70,000 for our nine global charity partners, launching the HubSpot for Non-Profits program, and publishing our first-ever Sustainability Report.
Scaled our culture in a hybrid world through remote-first programming, improving our systems and tools for virtual collaboration, and empowering managers to lead hybrid teams with resources, workshops, and enablement.
We’re proud of the progress we made in 2021 on building a company our employees are proud of. But we also know we have a lot more work to do. That’s why in 2022, we will continue to deeply listen as we scale our culture through a lens of flexibility, empathy, and inclusion.
