We're a big fan of creating awesome new marketing apps at HubSpot. So much in fact that we've created an entire App Marketplace to house marketing apps within HubSpot. The Marketplace houses some awesome apps from both internal developers and 3rd party developers who write apps working with the HubSpot APIs to integrate with HubSpot customer data and offer some really awesome services on top of the HubSpot marketing stack.

Here at HubSpot, we're working really hard on building the best Marketing Platform on earth. We're also totally committed to exposing our API's publically, enabling developers to create Apps on top of HubSpot and sell and distribute those apps in the HubSpot App Marketplace.
The hackathon will go for a couple of hours, which should be enough
time to put together a simple app. We'll kick off with an
introduction to what the Marketplace is and how it works, and then
give a quick walkthrough of how to create and submit a brand new app.
After that, members of the platform team will be on hand to answer
Marketplace and API questions.
