HubSpot is attempting to break a world record and it won’t include making or eating massive amounts of food, getting dirty or jumping from a high spot. This one is much more cerebral. HubSpot is going to host the “largest online marketing seminar” -- The Science of Social Media.

HubSpot’s Scientist of Social Media, Dan Zarrella, is constantly evaluating new data about social media and marketing, and on Tuesday, August 23, 2011, he will lead what will be the world’s largest webinar – Guinness certified! – on these topics.

Attendees will learn how to build their reach, engineer contagious ideas and measure results, all through data-backed, scientifically-proven best practices.

“Social media marketing shouldn't be left to luck,” said Zarrella. “Basing business decisions on superstition and myth is dangerous. We need to move beyond the guesswork into real science and data.”
