Meet Kennedy Singleton, our Summer 2023 Marketing Intern. Kennedy is a student at Sam Houston State University and interning in the Content Offers team at HubSpot.
Tell us a little bit about a project you are currently/will be working on this summer.
Throughout my time here, I've been fortunate to work on various marketing projects, including content auditing, blog writing, CRO testing on landing pages, creating content offers, and strategizing for organic growth with The Hustle newsletter. These opportunities have been invaluable for my professional growth and have allowed me to contribute to HubSpot's success!
What is something that has surprised you, or something you did not expect about HubSpot so far?
What I did not expect about HubSpot was how committed they were to creating a safe environment for employees to exist outside of their occupation. Everyone is so welcoming and kind. It makes for a pleasant day-to-day experience as I continue to collaborate with my own team and others!
What do you like the most about interning at HubSpot?
I most appreciate the opportunity to not only participate in work that matters but the opportunity to see my own content creations live on HubSpot's website!
What's a Work From Home hack that helps your productivity?
My WFH hack is to create a routine personal to your home and dynamic. While it can be enticing to replicate the schedule of others, the best way to strategize is to learn what you need to be productive and proceed accordingly!
What do you like to do when you are not working at your internship?
I love dancing, exploring new places, and fun outings!
What advice do you have for other students who might be interested in interning at HubSpot?
I would advise any interested marketing students to learn more about HubSpot's resources to help determine where they may be a good fit (blogging, YouTube, Content offers, email marketing, etc.) but also be open to the possibility that you may find interest in something other than what you're familiar/ comfortable with.
