March 8th, 2019 is a global celebration of women’s achievements and a call to action to accelerate gender parity around the world.

At HubSpot, it’s not just a one day celebration, but a year-round initiative. We provide programming and resources to amplify women’s voices, share stories, learn from one another, impact the next generation and take action towards a more balanced future.

Balance for Better

To kick off this year’s theme, Balance for Better, we asked HubSpotters around the world, what they hope gender equality looks like in 10 years and one thing they will do to move the needle on gender equality. Check out what they had to say in the video below.

To me, International Women's Day is about education, reconciliation, and - most importantly - celebration! International Women's Day should be a party: a day for women to take up space, own the conversation, and uplift the achievements of the countless innovative, empowering, groundbreaking women everywhere. But for me, it's more than just a day. Instead, it's a conscious reminder to think intersectionality and to elevate women around me the other 364 days a year.

International Women’s Day is a reminder that everything that has been done to get us where we are now, and a reminder that there is still much more that needs to be done in order to achieve gender equality. Fostering inclusion and diversity, can only be achieved through actions, which make HubSpot a place to empower women. I am excited to see what we can accomplish together as a company, while also setting an example for other companies to follow.

International Women’s Day is a day to recognize the value women bring to the world and all the hard work they've done and still do today to reach gender parity in the hope of a better future.

IWD is a day to reflect, recognize, and celebrate women everywhere! Women (and allies!) are making strides on micro and macro levels. We can appreciate how far we've come and dream of where we'll be in 2029, 2099, and beyond.
