Hi. I’m Jorie Munroe, an inbound professor here at HubSpot, the host of Skill Up -- The show where you’ll learn how to take your sales, marketing, and service skills to the next level.

We talked with a number of sales and marketing leaders, from a wide variety of organizations. And for the first time, well, ever, we’ll even take you inside some of the inner workings here at HubSpot. 

But I’m getting ahead of myself. Let’s cue up the first segment.

Ok. You know what sales is. You, likely, have a firm grasp on what enabling is. But give the two their own rom-com meet-cute, and you might be left wondering, what exactly is sales enablement? 

Sales enablement is the processes, content, and technology that helps sales teams sell efficiently and at a higher velocity.

But sales enablement really requires the help of those working in and out of sales. That’s right. While sales might get first-name feature here, many of the techniques you’ll learn about are also pretty well-suited for your marketing team. 

So you can think of sales enablement as a cohesive unit, between your sales and marketing teams, with its own shared language and goals.

Sales enablement really is a company-wide initiative. Everyone needs to work together. Otherwise the entire strategy collapses. So if you’re in sales, go ahead and send these episodes to your marketing team -- and vice versa.
