If you're using a Mac with Outlook as your email client, this step-by-step guide will show you how to add and change your Outlook Mac signature. Here’s how to do it:
  1. Open Outlook, and click on "Outlook" in the top left corner.
  2. Select "Settings" and then click on "Signatures" under the "Email" section.
  3. Click on the "+" sign to create a new signature.
  4. Click "Edit" to add or change your signature text.
  5. Type in or copy your desired text in the text box.
  6. To add or change an image or logo, click on the three dots icon and select "Pictures."
  7. When finished, click "Save."
  8. Verify your signature looks the way you want.
  9. Under "Choose default signature," select the email account you'd like to add the signature to.

How to add a signature in Outlook for Mac: step-by-step (with screenshots)

  1. Open Outlook on your Mac and click on "Outlook" in the top left corner of the screen. Then select “Settings” from the dropdown menu.

  2. Click on "Signatures" under the "Email" section of Outlook Preferences.

  3. Click on the "+" sign to create a new signature and give it a name. The name of the signature in this example is titled “Signature 1."

  4. To add your signature, click the “Edit” button.

  5. A new window will open. This is the text box you will use to create your email signature. Type in your desired text for the signature in the text box. You can always copy<>paste a signature if you’re using a tool like HubSpot’s Email Signature Generator.

  6. If you want to include an image or logo in your signature, click on the three dots in the toolbar. Next, click “Pictures” and select the file you want to use.

  7. Once you're happy with your signature, click the “Save” button.

  8. When you’re ready to add your signature to your email, verify that the signature appears as you expect in the “Signature Preview” viewport of the "Signatures" window.

  9. Under the "Choose default signature" section, select the email account you want to add the signature to.

  10. Choose whether you want to use the signature for new messages, replies/forwards, or both.

  11. You’re done! Click on the red "X" button in the top left corner to close the signature window.

How to change a signature in Outlook for Mac

  1. Open Outlook on your Mac, and click on "Outlook" in the top left corner of the screen. Next, select "Settings" from the dropdown menu.

  3. Select the signature you want to change from the list. Click the “Edit” button.

  4. A new window will open. Make any changes you want to the signature in the text box, including adding or removing text, links, or images.

  5. Click on the "Save" button in the top left corner to save your changes.

  6. Ensure your updated signature appears as you expect in the “Signature Preview” viewport of the "Signatures" window.

  7. Under the "Choose default signature" section, select the account you want to add your updated signature to.
