HubSpot Data Centers

Discover HubSpot’s approach to global data management.

Your Data Management

As a company, HubSpot strives to solve for our customers in a global-first way. When it comes to data, we understand the increasing concerns regarding where it's hosted and stored. Data sovereignty, compliance requirements, and performance optimization are all critical factors in today's digital landscape.

A HubSpot data center is where we store and process customer data. It contains everything needed to run a customer's version of the HubSpot platform, including secure servers, networking equipment, and sophisticated infrastructure that powers our cloud-based services. Each data center is built with multiple layers of security, redundancy, and disaster recovery capabilities to ensure your data remains safe and accessible.

HubSpot has data centers strategically located in different regions, enabling us to scale and deliver services more effectively while optimizing your use of our services. This distributed architecture ensures lower latency, faster access times, and improved performance for customers across the globe.

Frequently Asked Questions

By providing multiple data center options in different locations, customers can expect to see enhanced regional product performance, improved compliance, and improved regional reliability.

You might want your HubSpot account to run out of a specific location for both technical and non-technical reasons. You might make an assessment that a certain data center will assist with your own legal and compliance requirements. And simply, if you are located closer to a data center, the more reliable we anticipate your HubSpot experience will be. For example, if your data is stored in Germany, it doesn't have to travel as far to reach you if you were located in France compared to in the US.

New customers purchasing a subscription service will be assigned a hosting location based on the geo-location of their IP address at sign up. Customers who only use free services will be assigned a data center in the United States.

You can confirm where your HubSpot account data is hosted in your account defaults page. In your HubSpot account, click the settings settings icon in the top navigation bar. Next, in the left sidebar menu, click Account Defaults. At the top, click the Data Hosting tab. In the Your data hosting location section, view where your HubSpot data is hosted.

Existing paid customers have the option to migrate their data to a new data center within your account settings. There is no charge for this.

The decision as to whether or not you migrate your data to a new data center should be based on your own business objectives and requirements as well as the availability of supported data centers in your region.

Currently, HubSpot doesn’t have any immediate plans for additional data centers.

Yes, we apply the same robust security measures regardless of where your data is located. In addition to our security measures, we also place reliance on AWS's audited security and compliance programs for the efficacy of their physical, environmental, and infrastructure security controls.  These controls are independently validated as part of AWS’s SOC 2 Type 2 report and ISO 27001 certification.

AWS’s compliance documentation and audit reports are publicly available at the AWS
Cloud Compliance Page and the AWS Artifacts Portal. For more details on HubSpot security measures, please see our Security Overview located on the HubSpot Trust Center
