What is Catalyst?

The HubSpot Catalyst Partner Program is a 6-month accelerator for high‑potential technology partners who act as catalysts for customer impact.
Catalyst is designed to:
  • Help early-stage and strategically aligned partners build and scale faster on HubSpot.
  • Provide temporary access to benefits normally reserved for Premier and Leading tier partners.
  • Accelerate your path toward higher tiers in the HubSpot Technology Partner Program.


How Catalyst relates to the Technology Partner Program

  • You remain a HubSpot Technology Partner under our Technology Partner Program Agreement.
  • Your public Technology Partner tier (Partner, Rising, Leading, Premier) is still determined by the standard Technology Partner Program requirements.
  • Catalyst temporarily layers on additional support and benefits to help you make faster progress toward higher tiers.

Catalyst is intentionally small and selective, focusing on two main partner profiles.

Early-stage partners

You're launching your first integration or haven't listed in the marketplace yet. Often, you're HubSpot Ventures-backed or filling important product gaps. Catalyst helps you design and launch a first-class integration and achieve early traction.

Established partners who extend HubSpot’s product capabilities or have significant untapped go-to-market (GTM) potential

You already have a marketplace listing but are ready to activate GTM opportunities or make deeper product investments that are highly complementary to HubSpot’s product roadmap.

How selection works

Catalyst is resource-intensive by design, so we limit participation to ~30 partners per year.

You cannot apply directly to Catalyst. Selection is by invitation, based on:

  • Strategic alignment with HubSpot's product and go-to-market priorities.

  • Data and signals showing an untapped opportunity to drive more revenue and customer usage with HubSpot.

  • Willingness to co-create a clear 6-month roadmap and show measurable progress against it.

How the program works

If you're selected, you'll receive a direct invitation from HubSpot. There’s no application process.
  • Duration: 6 months (with possible one-time extension to 12 months maximum)
  • Format: Cohort-based
Additional terms specific to Catalyst will be shared with invited partners. Your invitation will specify your cohort start date and graduation date.

Your 6-month journey

Kick-off (Month 1)

Once selected, you'll join a Catalyst kick-off with your assigned HubSpot Technology Partner Manager to:
  • Align on goals for the 6-month period.
  • Define your Catalyst roadmap: a small set of priority use cases, product improvements, or GTM outcomes to focus on.
  • Clarify which benefits and support are most relevant for your stage and product.

Midpoint review (Month 3)

Roughly halfway through, we'll assess:
  • Progress against your roadmap.
  • Any blockers or needed scope adjustments.
  • Readiness for additional benefits like Accelerated Certification or co-sell eligibility.

Graduation (Month 6)

At the end of the term, we'll review:
  • What you delivered against the roadmap.
  • Movement toward Technology Partner Program thresholds.
  • Overall engagement and collaboration.

* 2026 cohort timing: The first Catalyst cohort launches in February 2026 and will participate throughout the full calendar year. Future cohorts are expected to follow the standard 6-month cadence.

What happens after Catalyst

Graduation

You've made strong progress and are positioned to move into a higher Technology Partner Program tier. Catalyst status ends, and you transition to that tier under the standard framework.

Extension (one-time only)

You're demonstrating strong engagement and clear progress, but need more time to hit program thresholds or complete the roadmap. You may be renewed for one additional 6-month term.

Completion (exit)

Progress or engagement haven't been sufficient. Catalyst status ends and you continue in the Technology Partner Program at your current tier, with the work we did together still benefiting your customers.

What you receive as a Catalyst Partner

Participation in Catalyst does not guarantee any specific future tier, benefit, or commercial arrangement. But Catalyst participants receive a curated selection of benefits normally reserved for Premier and Leading tier partners, tailored to where you are in your journey. At a glance, Catalyst partners receive:

  • Certification support and potential accelerated path

  • Co-sell readiness and GTM alignment

  • HubSpot Catalyst Partner badge you can use to promote your app

Strategic Support & Advisory

Named Partner Manager

You’ll have a dedicated Technology Partner Manager who:

  • Acts as your main point of contact for HubSpot
  • Co‑creates and tracks your 6‑month Catalyst goals (the joint set of product improvements and GTM motions HubSpot and your team commit to during the program)
  • Coordinates internal stakeholders (Solutions Architects, Ecosystem Quality, GTM teams, Ventures, etc.) as needed

Solutions Architect consulting (goal-based)

You may receive advisory support from a HubSpot Solutions Architect focused on the priority use cases in your Catalyst roadmap. Depending on your stage, this can look like:

  • For emerging or pre-listing partners:
    Guidance on how to design and build your integration on HubSpot
    Recommendations on which APIs and platform capabilities to use
    Feedback on feasibility and tradeoffs so you can deliver meaningful value within the 6-month window
  • For established apps:
    Suggestions on how to improve architecture, performance, or customer workflows
    Input on expanding to new use cases
    Technical advice on when to update architecture vs work with current architecture based on platform changes and available roadmap

Support is scoped to your agreed Catalyst roadmap and does not equal unlimited consulting.

Ecosystem Quality & Certification readiness

For many partners, Catalyst is also an opportunity to work toward Certification:

  • For new apps, Catalyst may include eligibility for an Accelerated Certification path, allowing you to begin the Certification process earlier than usual once your app is live and meets quality criteria.
  • For existing apps, you’ll receive priority scheduling for certification toward the end of the Catalyst term.

Certification remains subject to HubSpot’s standard review and quality criteria.

Co-sell readiness and eligibility

Catalyst can help you move toward, or deepen, co-sell collaboration with HubSpot where it makes sense.

Eligibility for specific co-sell programs depends on separate readiness criteria. Catalyst doesn't automatically grant co-sell participation, but it can accelerate your path to it.

Qualified Catalyst partners may be prioritized for the Program Growth Accelerator – a cohort-based program that helps technology partners and solutions partners plan and execute joint campaigns that qualify for HubSpot MDF.

Marketing & enablement opportunities

Subject to fit and capacity, Catalyst partners may receive:

  • Inclusion in relevant content or campaigns
  • Internal enablement for HubSpot reps to better understand and position your app

Badge & external positioning

Although Catalyst is not a public tier in the HubSpot Marketplace, you will receive:

  • A “HubSpot Catalyst Partner” badge and usage guidelines
  • Short messaging you can use on your website, blog, social media, sales/marketing materials to promote this designation

This badge is designed for your channels. It does not replace or change your tier designation in the marketplace and does not affect marketplace search or rankings.

What we ask from you

Catalyst is a two-way investment. To get the most value from the program (and to remain in it), we ask you to commit to:

Dedicate the right people

  • A business lead for the partnership
  • A technical owner for your integration
  • A GTM/marketing or sales contact who can act on agreed initiatives

These contacts should have authority to make decisions and bandwidth to engage actively.

Commit to the roadmap

  • Align with your Technology Partner Manager on realistic goals for the 6-month period
  • Demonstrate effort on agreed use cases and milestones
  • Communicate early if scope or priorities need to change

Stay engaged

  • Attend key calls (kick-off, midpoint, final review)
  • Respond to HubSpot stakeholders in a timely manner

Share what you learn

  • Participate in occasional surveys to help us improve the program for future cohorts
  • When applicable, share metrics, stories, or customer examples that help both sides understand impact and refine the program

* If a partner consistently disengages or does not make reasonable progress, HubSpot may decide to end Catalyst status early and reallocate those limited slots to other partners.

Frequently Asked Questions

No. Catalyst is a sub-program within the Technology Partner Program. It doesn’t change how tiers work or the underlying scoring model. Think of it as a focused accelerator to help a small number of partners move faster.

Yes. Depending on your profile, you will be required to accept these additional terms (for existing technology partners) or a separate set of additional terms (for non-technology partners).

No. Your tier is still determined by the Technology Partner Program model. Catalyst is a temporary status and a set of additional supports during the 6-month period (with a possible one-time extension).

No. Your public marketplace presence will continue to reflect your standard partner tier and listing details. The Catalyst badge is meant for use on your own channels (website, PR, social, decks, etc.).

No. We work with both net-new and established partners. The kind of support you receive depends on where you are in your integration journey.

No. Accelerated Certification is an optional, eligibility-based benefit. It depends on your stage, engagement, and whether your app meets HubSpot’s quality and readiness criteria.

No. Catalyst can help prepare and position you for co-sell motions, but participation in specific co-sell programs is governed by separate program criteria.

There is currently no program fee for participating in Catalyst. You’ll be responsible for your own internal resources and any joint campaign investments we agree to together.

You can continue using the badge on your channels with past-tense framing (e.g., "Participated in HubSpot Catalyst Partner Program 2026" or "Former HubSpot Catalyst Partner").
