Flexibility is a real thing at HubSpot. We believe you should build work around your life, not the other way around. That’s why we have an unlimited vacation ‘policy’, a five-year sabbatical program, and we trust employees to leave early, come in late, or work from home if they need to. At HubSpot Singapore, work-life balance isn’t just possible, it’s celebrated.
HubSpot’s mission is to help millions of organizations grow better, and our team in Singapore is having a big impact on making that happen. We’re passionate about solving for our customers and are always innovating our approach to marketing, sales, and services. With our mission as a north star, SingSpot is trailblazing a new path to help businesses grow every day.
‘Always be growing’ is one of our mottos. That’s why there’s no shortage of opportunities to learn in SingSpot, from our annual tuition reimbursement and Free Books program, to manager workshops and online Learn@HubSpot courses. An employee in SingSpot said it best in this Glassdoor review about learning: “Seriously, it doesn't get better than this.”
One of our core company values is transparency. Openly sharing information and ideas has helped us scale across nine global offices, without slowing down. You can find new learnings from employees and leaders on our internal wiki every day, and in SingSpot we host a monthly persona meeting. This is a chance for leaders from all departments to come together and share what they’re working on.
Manager, APAC Customer Onboarding Team
What's one thing most people don't know about you?
I was a lifeguard in the US in 2007. I saved a kid in a waterpark!
What team are you on and what does an average day look like?
I’m on the Customer Onboarding team and we get to work with new HubSpot customers as soon as they come onboard. As trusted advisors to our customers, we deliver enterprise value and world class customer experience to help customers achieve their business objectives. As a manager of the team, I spend most of my time thinking about ways to help my people grow better.
What's one thing you love about the Singapore office?
The diversity. We have employees from 20 or so nationalities with different perspectives, views and opinions.
How does HubSpot's culture help you do your best work?
Transparency is huge in HubSpot. It allows me to have open communications with my team, peers and manager. I can worry less about office politics and focus solely on our customers.
Sales Partner Manager
What's one thing most people don't know about you?
I've spent a few years growing up in Arizona.
What team are you on and what does an average day look like?
I'm on the Sales Partner Team. This program is a new initiative in HubSpot and I'm excited to have this opportunity to pilot it first globally in APAC. I scout for good fit Sales Partners in the region, onboard them and train them to resell HubSpot. The long term goal of the program is to enable Sales Partners to learn how to wrap services around HubSpot and become successful reselling superstars. The most fulfilling part of the role is the relationships. Your partners become friends and it's a joy to watch them succeed.
What's one thing you love about the Singapore office?
The amazing people!
How does HubSpot's culture help you do your best work?
The flexibility and autonomy my manager provides me allows me to work where and when I'm most productive. It's a trust based environment and to reciprocate that trust back, I hold myself accountable for what's expected of me in my role. On top of that, having great co-workers makes coming to work something I look forward to.
Marketing Manager
What's one thing most people don't know about you?
I once ate chicken rice every day for 3 months!
What team are you on and what does an average day look like?
I head up our Marketing team in Asia, one of the most interesting and diverse markets in the world. So there is no typical day. If you walk into SingSpot on a random day, there's a few things you might see me doing. You'll probably see me talking to our Sales team to understand what challenges they're hearing from prospects, or I'll be on a video call trying to set up partnerships in the region, or maybe I'll be working with my team as we try to figure out how we can invent new ways to improve how we reach new customers in our part of the world.
What's one thing you love about the Singapore office?
The diversity is awesome. I have colleagues from all around the world. On any given day I will hear at least 5 languages in the office.
How does HubSpot's culture help you do your best work?
Transparency and openness; even though we're such a big company, we can operate with the same context and direction.
Anything else you want to add that candidates may want to know?
HEART (Humble, Empathetic, Adaptable, Remarkable, Transparent) sounds like it's something that HR made up. I can assure you it's not. On your very first day at HubSpot, you realize that this company lives and breathes HEART.
