Senior Product Manager I, Legal Tech

HubSpot's Employee Technology Team is seeking a Senior Product Manager to drive the SaaS strategy, roadmap and continued growth of our Legal Tech Stack in support of our Legal Team. This role is a cornerstone of our efforts to empower our Legal Team with the technology solutions they need to win our customers trust, supercharge our flywheel, and be future-ready. You'll be at the forefront of our mission to re-invent our Legal Tech Stack to empower the right selection and usage of SaaS tools to be used as a lever for productivity and efficiency across our Tech Stack.

This is a high-impact, cross-functional role that supports our Legal Team, partners with our Legal Business System Analyst (BSA) Team, and partners with Internal Product, Enterprise AI, Enterprise Platforms, and more. This role requires a deep understanding of Legal workflows and Legal specific SaaS tooling as well as a passion for listening to user needs and solving complex problems with best-in-class solutions. You'll additionally leverage the power of AI to compliment the system landscape and enable how Legal and their user base executes on work and engage with one another.

In this role you’ll get to:

  • Deeply understand the workflows, needs, pain points, and "jobs to be done" for Legal personas in all Legal practice areas
  • Experience journeys of both Legal and those they support by engaging with them directly and often
  • Guide a Tech Ecosystem review, identify gaps and build a future-proof and scalable Tech Stack Proposal that aligns to our Legal Team’s needs leveraging your knowledge of best-in-class Legal tools, peer insights, and current state
  • Thoroughly consider opportunities for shared tooling across practice areas, ensuring we are prioritizing continuity, minimizing tool sprawl, and getting the most out of our selected solutions - emphasizing for strategic usage not point solutions
  • Manage the ongoing Vendor relationships in partnership with our BSA team to ensure opportunities and functionality are communicated and continually considered and value is forefront
  • Partner with our BSA Team for technical considerations, execution, implementation and integration 
  • Drive alignment, set goals, build understanding and motivate others, including cross-functional partners across the company
  • Drive the future state vision for our Legal Tech Stack, and define our first focus areas on where we move first
  • Proficient in the use of AI and other emerging technologies to create leverage driving workflows for the Legal Team and end users

We are looking for people who have:

  • A deep understanding of Legal workflows, including contracting processes, privacy processes, and more.
  • Experience with a wide array of Legal technology tools (e.g. CLM, Privacy Management, Matter Management, E-discovery, etc.)
  • Proven experience building and scaling the Tech Stack / SaaS Ecosystem for Legal Teams
  • Exceptional analytical skills and a commitment to data accuracy and integrity
  • Experience with vendor selection, implementation, and successful launch 
  • A multidisciplinary approach to thinking, combining business and technical insights to identify opportunities and weigh tradeoffs
  • An understanding of the competitive software and AI space
  • The ability to articulate a technical vision to a variety of audiences
  • A deep respect for the expertise and insights of their collaborators, including Legal Stakeholders, BSAs, Engineers, Analytics, and others
  • A drive to understand customer needs deeply and truly solving for their problems
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and interpersonal problem-solving skills
  • A passion for being a part of a healthy team, cultivating psychological safety, and facilitating tough conversations that help people grow
  • A desire to understand how Legal helps HubSpot win
  • The ability to make decisions, test assumptions, and iterate - often without perfect information
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt in an innovative and fast-paced environment

Pay & Benefits

The cash compensation below includes base salary, on-target commission for employees in eligible roles, and annual bonus targets under HubSpot’s bonus plan for eligible roles. In addition to cash compensation, some roles are eligible to participate in HubSpot’s equity plan to receive restricted stock units (RSUs). Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay. Individual compensation packages are tailored to your skills, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.

Annual Cash Compensation Range:
$158,100$200,000 USD
